Building codes and ASHRAE’s ventilation and IAQ standards, including Standards 62.1 and 62.2, emphasize three foundational strategies for maintaining indoor air quality: dilution (ventilation), air cleaning (filtration), and ensuring that air enters or leaves a building in a controlled and intended manner (building pressurization).
